The exterior wall putty is not strong, and customers complain repeatedly? How to solve the problem!

The solution to the problem of insufficient strength of exterior wall putty requires targeted measures based on the construction stage and severity. The core methods include water spraying maintenance and using penetrating primer to optimize the construction process. In severe cases, the problem needs to be removed and redone.

Water Spraying To Improve Strength

Since the main component of exterior wall putty is cement, it can be cured by spraying water or rolling to promote cement hydration reaction and enhance the overall strength of the putty layer.

Use A Clear Penetrating Primer

~Avoid using colored alkali-resistant sealing primers and use transparent penetrating primers instead, which have stronger penetration and can penetrate deep into the putty base to form a reinforcement layer.

~During construction, add appropriate amount of water to dilute the primer to enhance penetration and improve adhesion.

~Avoid direct sunlight during wall construction to prevent the primer from forming a film too quickly and affecting penetration.

Optimize Construction Process

‌~‌Control the thickness of the scraping: the single scraping should not exceed 1mm, and the application should be carried out in thin layers multiple times to avoid cracking due to excessive thickness causing dry surface and wet inside.

‌~‌Base treatment: For loose or high water absorption bases, first apply environmentally friendly wall solidifier or penetrating treatment agent to enhance the density of the base.

‌~‌Environmental control: Avoid construction in high temperature and high humidity environments, and ensure that the drying time of each layer is ≥ 4 hours.

Partial Or Complete Eradication And Redoing

~‌Local strength is insufficient: remove loose parts, clean and re-hang the mesh for repair, and use qualified cement mortar or special repair putty.

~‌Large area lack of strength‌: Remove all problematic putty layers, re-spray, hang mesh and standardize plastering to ensure that the base meets the construction standards.

~‌Note: If problems such as hollowing and peeling have occurred, it is difficult to cure them by relying solely on primer or maintenance. The problem layer must be completely removed and rework must be carried out in a standardized manner.

A Must-Know for Technicians: How to Choose the Right Mortar for Each Application?

With the continuous development of the construction industry and the changes in market demand, anti-crack mortar and plastering mortar have been widely used in the construction industry. Friends who don’t know these two kinds of mortars can easily confuse them. In fact, anti-crack mortar and plastering mortar are both suitable for leveling materials for internal and external walls. They can be used for the base surface treatment of the wall to play the role of leveling, protection and anti-erosion. So, what is the difference between anti-crack mortar and plastering mortar? Next, let's learn about it with the editor! Anti-Crack Mortar Anti-cracking mortar is a mortar made of anti-cracking agent made of polymer emulsion and admixture, cement and sand mixed with water in a certain proportion, which can meet a certain deformation and remain without cracking. Features layer is corrosion-resistant and alkali-resistant, and can prevent the surface from being damaged due to climate reasons...

Several key "time" points for tile adhesive pasting!

What is the shelf life of tile adhesive? In a cool and dry environment, the shelf life of unopened tile adhesive is 1 year. If the tile adhesive clumps, it means that its active ingredients have begun to react and should be discarded. Mixing time of tile adhesive Tile adhesive should be stirred with a low-speed mixer (500r/min). Add the powder into water and stir for 3-5 minutes to form a uniform adhesive slurry without powder lumps. How long should I wait after mixing tile adhesive with water before using it? Generally, we use a mixer to stir for 3-5 minutes, let it stand for about 5 minutes, and then stir it again before use. There are two functions of standing here: one is to remove the air brought in during the stirring process, and the other is to allow the tile adhesive to fully mature, which is conducive to maximizing the bonding strength of the tile adhesive. How long does it take to use the tile adhesive after mixing it? The operable time of tile adhesive under standard condit...
